A Joyful South Mountain Session with the Swanson and Farley Families
It is always such a joy to photograph the Swanson and Farley families! Every time I get to spend time with them, I leave feeling uplifted. They’re the kind of people who are full of light—kind, joyful, and deeply connected with one another.
I still remember when I first met @dev.farley and Andrew over a year ago. We sat down in a cozy coffee shop to talk about their wedding photography, and from the very beginning, I could tell they were something special. There was a quiet thoughtfulness in how they spoke to each other, a deep kindness in how they shared their story—it was clear they had a genuine love and respect for one another.
When their wedding day finally arrived, I got to meet the rest of their family—and everything clicked. The kindness and joy I saw in Devon and Andrew was a reflection of the people who raised and surrounded them. The entire family welcomed me with open arms. They were warm, gracious, and made me feel like I was part of the celebration—not just someone behind the camera.
That same spirit came through again during our most recent session at South Mountain. It was a beautiful Arizona day, filled with golden light and that soft desert magic that makes this location so special. The mountain views, the warm breeze, and the laughter of the family made this session one to remember.
We captured everything from sweet snuggles and inside jokes to those candid, joy-filled moments that happen in between. It’s these kinds of sessions that remind me why I love what I do so much—getting to witness connection, legacy, and love, all in one frame.
