A Wildly Beautiful Love Story: Kaylae & Eric’s Texas Wedding

Robbie and I had the most incredible time photographing Kaylae and Eric’s wedding at the stunning M3 Ranch in Cat Spring, Texas. It was a day filled with joy, authenticity, and deep love—set against the perfect backdrop of wide-open skies, rustic charm, and wild Texas beauty.

This wasn’t just any wedding for me. I’ve known Kaylae for 12 years, and witnessing her get married felt like watching a chapter beautifully come full circle.

We first met in college, on a quiet morning walk to church. I’ll never forget it—she was gracefully carrying a parasol, and I remember thinking, who is this magical human? That moment sparked a friendship that has grown stronger with each passing year.

Our bond deepened during the season when she lived in Korea. Every Tuesday morning at 6:00 AM Arizona time, I’d pick up the phone, and there she’d be—10:00 PM her time—ready to catch up. Those weekly calls were a lifeline and a reminder of just how steady and intentional she is as a friend.

Kaylae has always amazed me. She’s a true Renaissance woman: a brilliant cook, talented gardener, artist, rock climber, and bug collector. She’s earned a biology degree, taught English overseas, and become a certified radiologist. She’s curious, creative, and unafraid of diving deep into whatever she loves.

And honestly, for years I used to wonder—who is going to keep up with this girl?

Then along came Eric.

From the beginning, it was clear that Eric was someone truly special. He’s one of the kindest, most thoughtful, and most steady-hearted people I’ve ever met. When Kaylae was living in Galveston and Eric in Houston, he didn’t let distance get in the way. He drove—on average, 700 miles a week—just to be with her. That kind of consistency speaks volumes. Eric doesn’t just show up—he pursues, invests, and loves with intention.

Watching them together feels like watching two puzzle pieces snap perfectly into place. Individually, they are brilliant. Together, they’re unstoppable.

Kaylae and Eric, your wedding was such a true reflection of your love—full of warmth, adventure, laughter, and heart. May your marriage continue to be everything that this day was and more. I love you both and can’t wait to see what’s ahead in your journey.
